Jagex NEVER email you, if they are going to contact you it they send you a message on the game itself.

I would quicky change my username and password and ignore emails like these in the future.

dude i emailed it back and before i did the email recepient to the reply was:
support@jagex.com
i went to Jagex.com and ofcourse its Jagex studios real jagex....
heres proof


so you see i did reply and it was support@jagex.com

so i went to Jagex.com to see for myself



and to make sure this was correct i went to another email which was automated to check to see if it was exact same address



then i see another @jagex.com

you see i wasnt lying and this isnt fake... They actually want me to be staff.
I have played RuneScape for 8 years and reported over 130 players and ive never been reported. I think that they actually want me to participate in Moderation.

is that enough proof for you???

Yeah, plus it says copyright 2010, there website says copyright 2011, They never email you, They've posted it a billion times..

Yeah, I was just about to point out the copyright too, if I was you I would report the e-mail to Jagex or have them verify it's real.

Well, if it is real, congratulations :)

I always wanted to be a mod on RS but since I'm getting old I have to move on haha. Just be careful because I'm sure they would message you on their site, not by email.

Well, in Jagex's newsletter it says 'Dear Player', they don't send the e-mail to all of the players.
It certainly should say 'Dear + yourName+'.
Some feeling says this is fake.

Not real at all, like they ALWAYS say, they would NEVER contact you by E-mail. You're better off reporting this. And now go change your password if you actually did logg into your account on the website provided, it definitely is a keylogger.
