What is Ripping?
Ripping is pretty much stealing someone else's work, and saying it is yours. If somebody has evidence of it being ripped you will get in trouble. Ripping is against the rules, Real life and in the forums. It's basically like copyright, if the owner makes it and is proud of it, he doesn't want anybody too rip it, saying it's theres. You CANNOT Rip during the SoTw, And we may ask for the PSD of your signature for proof. Even if your friend gives permission to add it as a SoTw tournament, it isn't yours so therefore you will be disqualified. Ripping can result in a five day ban.
What is a render?
A render is a picture that is put on your signature, for example if you have a signature with a NPC on a 360 Game, or a Runescape Character in it, you didn't make that from scratch you just used a render. Renders do not count for ripping, a good place for renders is

What is a PSD?
A PSD is a Photoshop file, For example if you make a cool signature with a lot of renders, smudging, styles, and all of that good stuff, you should save it too both PSD and PNG so if you're asked to provide a PSD of your file you can. PSD's can only be viewed in Adobe Photoshop (all versions)
What is a style?
A style is pretty much a color, but with cool effects like gloss, or shining from a certain angle. You can find Styles all over the internet, just search around.
What is a Brush?
A brush is just a stamp pretty much, but in a cool design. People use brushes to add a cool looking effect, or to make something stand out like your name in a signature. These can also be found all over the internet, remember Google is your friend.
